If you can give it to them, you have a valuable asset.

If you don’t know what the answers are but know others who
do, you can simply be the facilitator that makes the project
happen…like Oprah.

You know I love to host great contest and give cool prizes!

Well, one of my favorite projects is a company that lets users create greeting cards on their computers that are then printed and mailed for them.

You create the card, somebody else prints and mails it for you. It’s that simple.

It is so genius, it is being called the next Netflix.

Eventually, I believe everyone will have one of these user accounts so they can send heart-felt cards of all kinds with the click of a mouse.

In the meantime, the distributors spreading the word about this software are building a financial foundation while making customers ecstatic.

In my organization, I host incentive programs to encourage activity.

Everyone joining the company gets an accountability partner which makes up one team. Two members = 1 team.

Each team can compete in our Monthly Freedom Club to win a certificate, the title of Freedom Club Winner of the Month, and $100 to split.

The team with the most activity at the end of the year wins our Christmas Club Bonus: $1000.

This year, there were two teams in the running for the final contest.

Team 2 – Ann LaRoche and Christina Parrott – won 3 months.

In two days, his uncle will be 97.

I can’t ask why some people live so long while others’ lives seem to be cut short. All I can do is thank God for the years we had together and the 10 children we brought into this world and the next.

And I thank God for the glimpses of vision I gained from him, a former public school teacher, to learn more about the practical things of life such as business
and investing.

Education these days is so lacking. A generic education does not prepare students for the real world. To be successful, the only way to do it is to be a “self-made man.” (And I believe that whether you actively seek help from God or even acknowledge Him for it, you can’t get there without His hand.)

If you are successful in any way, God did a good thing in your life. You might want to thank Him for it.

This weekend, the world takes a few days off from regular routine to celebrate Christmas, the birth of Jesus Christ, the Savior of the world.

Sure, it’s been way too commercialized and the meaning is often drowned in the flurry of seasonal shopping ads.

But the miracle is that in a world that is quickly abandoning everything holy, the world still recognizes the birthday of a man who was born over 2000 years ago.

How can that be?

Because He was not just a man. He was God. He is God.

Yes, we killed Him. We even celebrate that event every Easter.

But He did what no other man who has ever lived on the earth has done. He took the sin of mankind to hell for three days, then came back to life to be
rejoined with his friends on earth.

Later, witnesses saw Him physically ascend to Heaven.

He did it because He was God. He is God.

And He did it so that we could be set free from the nature of sin we are all born into and so that we can live with Him and His Father God in Heaven forever.

As I think about my dear husband who is in heaven now with three of my children who went before us, I can only wonder what it will be like.

I’ve read several books about people who have had near-death experiences who say it is wonderful. They didn’t want to come back.

I miss my husband yet I’m thrilled that my children and I will see him soon.

And I am thankful that because of his vision of entrepreneurial education, my seven living children have learned to think and apply their gifts to do what
they love, whatever that is.

In the process, I also learned about business and investing. And it turned out to be a providential thing that I started an online business 10 years ago. Because when he died last year, just one day after our 33rd anniversary, I didn’t panic.

I had learned how to make money on the Internet by serving people with my gifts and talents. And my children and I are continually learning how to invest.

Because of what we have learned from wise mentors and teachers, we had a good year. We didn’t crash and burn. We survived.

We went snow skiing in Virginia twice, we took an extended field trip to south Florida, we took a few trips to the beach with some of the grandkids and I became a goodwill ambassador to Israel.

But most of all, we focused on staying home, learning about life well and focusing on serving others. That’s what life is all about; using your gifts and talents
to serve others.

I miss my very wonderful but not perfect husband. But I have work here on earth to do. When I’m tempted to feel sorry for myself, I refocus my vision on those around me that I can serve.

In 2012, the Lord is taking my family in another direction. We’ll be making some changes for the better that I can’t wait to tell you about. And I hope to see you at home school conventions across the country.

As you get ready to host a massive dinner for your family and friends this wonderful Christmas day, don’t focus on each others’ short-comings. Instead, make it a pleasant day.

They say Christmas is the most depressing time of the year and the suicide rate increases too dramatically. I can understand why if your family isn’t in harmony.

I can understand why if you aren’t in harmony with God. That’s a hard place to be yet He is always waiting for us to come to Him. He is always there. Ask Him to show Himself to you like I did in 1975. You may have an earth-shattering experience like I did, or you may not. But He will respond. He always does.

This holiday season, think of how you can encourage someone in your life.

Invite a widow to share a meal or a movie with your family.

Take a shut-in person some cookies or a pie.

Visit a prisoner or two to brighten their day.

Do whatever you feel in your heart that the Lord would have you do. Life is too short to worry about making money and collecting things. It’s time we do what we are here on this earth for a very short time to do: serve God by serving others with the one special gift He gave you.

Then thank Him for it because you never know when your ability will leave you.

And you never know when your partner will leave either.

than all companies from the entire European continent.

After the U.S., Israel has more companies listed there than
any other country in the world.

Israel is the world leader in the percentage of the economy
that is spent on research and development.

And it is the only country to experience a meaningful increase
in venture capital from 2007 to 2008.

It specializes in high-growth entrepreneurship with companies
like Intel and Motorola that transform global industries.

And the amazing thing to me is…

They have accomplished all this while being engaged in
on-going wars with their neighboring countries.

First of all, why is this important?

In a world where everything and everyone seems to be going
bankrupt despite national reports that “everything is okay,”
Israel is thriving.

Why?

Well, there are reasons.

The people there think differently.

The leadership there acts differently.

And the country provides military training for their young
people that prepares them for the world they will enter once
they leave the country’s service.

Second, what does this mean to you?

There are principles of success that have been proven to work
for centuries, mainly by a few entrepreneurial individuals who
dared risk all they had and were for something they believed in.

Now out of a glimmer of time comes a small country the size of
New Jersey which is surrounded by enemies that threaten almost
daily to wipe it off the map.

Yet not only is it surviving, it is thriving.

And it is surpassing every other country on the planet except
the powerful yet crumbling USA, as a world leader in technology
and business development.

What that means to you is that even though your family may be
struggling economically right now like almost everyone is,
there is hope.

Israel is doing something right. It has learned some lessons
that the rest of the world has either forgotten, ignored or
suppressed.

When we as individuals learn and apply those principles, we
too will prosper and thrive.

And it’s not about making a ton of money so you can sit back
and spend the rest of your life on the beach in Florida sipping
cool drinks.(Although that’s awesome to do every once in a while!)

It’s about doing something meaningful with your life that makes
an impact on the world, like creating the Intel chip that birthed
the laptop into existence or the cell phone that Motorola developed
with the help of Israeli ingenuity.

The lesson is: Success is not about you. It’s about entering in
to what God has for you to do in the few short years you are here
on this planet.

What are you building with your life?

What will you leave behind to generations of others, including
your grandchildren?

Are you fulfilled in what you do?

These are just a few questions to ask yourself.

When we needed a hotel room for an extra night’s stay,
